Sustainability is a concept whose main focus is on preserving capitals (human, natural, social and economic) in the direction of intergenerational justice. Sustainable development is realized if there is overlap between ecological, economic and social layers. This means that each of the ecological, economic and social systems and subsystems should achieve an optimal level of sustainability in order to be able to judge about sustainability. Our rural society has undergone extensive changes under the influence of the trends and policies of recent decades, but the evidence is such that it shows the movement of villages towards instability - and especially social instability. The lack of a systematic model in explaining the current situation of the country's rural communities, as well as the lack of optimal design of social stability indicators, especially subjective indicators against objective indicators, have played a major role in this confusion.
Conclusion: In recent years, with the importance of finding a sustainable development paradigm, emphasizing the place of the social dimension in the field of sustainability has become doubly important. One of the basic prerequisites for achieving sustainable development and one of the most basic measures of well-being in any society is maintaining and promoting social stability, which can be improved with proper management and good governance.
Improving the indicators of legality, transparency, accountability, efficiency and effectiveness, participation, consensus, justice-oriented and accountability are effective in the development of rural social sustainability components.
